When Reverend Dave was in school on Wednesday to lead school worship, he mentioned to the office staff that Christmas was just over a month away. It is now exactly a month today, and I am not sure where the time has gone to this half-term. There is so much going and so much to do before Christmas! I have been planning our Advent Service with the Year 2 Worship Leaders, and we talked about how Advent is a busy time and sometimes people forget the real reason why we have Christmas. They will be sharing this in the service through a little role play to music. Do come along to the service if you can - it is a lovely way to start the Christmas season.
In the Newsletter last week, you may have seen that we are having a special One Can Trust collection to support those in need at Christmas. We would love to be able to make a difference and hope that we can have bags full of donations to take down to One Can Trust. They have made a call for specific Christmas donations as per the list on their website. We will also need some help with transporting the donations next Friday 2nd, so if anyone is able to help with this, please contact the school office.
To continue with the Christmas theme, we are all excited about the school Christmas Fayre which is taking place tomorrow. The staff are manning a stall and looking forward to seeing everyone. The children are also singing some of their Christmas songs for all the visitors to the Fayre and I can't wait to see and hear the Carols in the barn!
