Our last newsletter of 2022! During the last few days of term, I have really felt the excitement building for Christmas, especially as the children had their Christmas parties yesterday. The Christmas songs filtered through from the Hall as each class played their party games, Christmas lunch and Christmas craft activities in the classrooms made for an incredible atmosphere in the school. This morning was the icing on the cake when we were very lucky to have a visit from Father Christmas - such a special moment in the school's year!
The staff team have been, as always, dedicated and inspirational to work with. Over the term, the nurture and care that they have given to the children has been second to none and I have loved seeing the wonderful learning that they have planned for the children.
I would like to thank the PFA committee for their support this term and over the last half-term, I know they have had so many fundraising events and activities to organise and on top of this, they are always willing to help with extra things around the school, so that our school life runs smoothly. They even made 180 Christingle oranges in preparation for this morning's Christmas by Candlelight.
Our Governing Body have worked hard this year on the strategic management of the school. Their dedication to the role is impressive, and I would like to thank them for their support for me, the staff and the school.
The support of the parent body is something that always bowls me over - I never underestimate how blessed we are to have parents and carers who are so helpful (with their time in school and at home with their children's learning) and generous (in response to the fundraising the school needs to do and in terms of the wonderful gifts they give the staff at this special time of year).
I would like to wish you a very peaceful and happy Christmas. May you create some wonderful memories with your families and friends and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
