The May Fayre was a huge success last Saturday and the event ran smoothly and was well attended. It was lovely to see so many families enjoying the wide range of activities.
In school this week, the Year 1 children have been busy making their bug hotels and learning about how they can be more environmentally friendly. Yesterday, they had a visitor from the Greatmoor Recycling Plant who talked to them about what happens to rubbish and how to prevent it from polluting the earth.
Year 2 of course visited Mop End on Wednesday and were blessed with some sunny and dry weather. This was a welcome break from their SATs which are now halfway through.
In Reception, it has been a week of Ladybirds! The children have been learning about biodiversity and have been exploring the Wild World to see what insects they can find.
Earlier in the week, Reverend Dave came in to school to lead collective worship, and he talked to the children about Ascension - we have been learning about the timeline which started with Shrove Tuesday and will end with Pentecost. We will be holding a Pentecost service after half-term, there are details about this below.
