Year 2 Leavers Service
Our annual Year 2 Leaver's Service was held on Wednesday 15th July and, whilst it was very different to previous years, we were still able to say goodbye to our Year 2 children in true Sandygate fashion.
This year our Year 2 Leaver's Service was rather different to how it has been in the past. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to invite parents to come and join us for the service but the event was recorded and we will make the recording available to parents as soon as we can.
For the first time since school was closed on Friday 20th March, the whole school came together for school worship.
We gathered on the field, with each bubble socially distanced from the others, to join in songs, prayers and to say goodbye to the Year 2 children leaving us this week.
Despite the threatening skies, the weather stayed dry for us and we had a lovely afternoon.
Several Year 2 children read out their 'Memory Box' poems which they had written in school since they returned on 29th June and they were presented with a bible as a memento of their time with us.
We wish them all the best as they take the next step in their learning journey and we are certain they will all do well.
