How do I get a place for my child at Marlow Infants?

Marlow C of E Infant School would like to make it as easy as possible for you to apply to join our school. We have pulled together all the information you will need below. 

For the criteria for admissions, please refer to our admissions policy and our catchment area map, which are both available to download below. To check which catchment your school is, you can visit the Buckinghamshire Council school admissions website https://services.buckscc.gov.uk/school-admissions/nearest

First Time Admissions applications

For children starting school for the first time, admission applications are made through Buckinghamshire Council and you can find information here.

School Tours

We will be holding a number of school tours during the upcoming months for families looking for a place for their child/ren next academic year. Tours will be led by the headteacher and will last 30 minutes.

  • Friday 10th January 11am
  • Friday 7th February 11am

Spaces are limited, therefore please email office@marlow-infant.bucks.sch.uk if you would like to book a place.

Primary Portal opens at 11am on this date (Buckinghamshire residents only)

15th January 2025

Reception and Junior Transfer online applications Primary Portal closes at midnight

16th April 2025

National Primary Allocation Day

  • Emails sent out to online applicants 
  • Auto opt onto Waiting List

30th April 2025

Closing date for:

  • 1st round acceptances via the online portal which closes at 11.59pm
  • New applications for the 2nd round
  • Mover address evidence for the 2nd round.

 

School Admission Appeals Timetable 2025

Appeal Stage

Date

Primary National Offer Day applications (those received on time)

Tuesday 16 April

Deadline for first round infant/primary/combined appeals (must give applicant 20 school days from date of refusal to prepare and lodge their appeal)

Wednesday 15 May

Appeals will be heard (Must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline to lodge appeal)

Between Monday 10 June and Wednesday 17 July

LATER APPLICATIONS WILL BE HEARD AS FOLLOWS:

Applicants must be given 20 school days to return and lodge their appeal. Within 40 school days of that date, their appeal will be heard.

In-Year Applications

If you wish to apply for a place at our school outside the normal admissions round, then we administer our own in-year admissions, and you should contact Mrs Wright in the school office by telephone 01628 483983 or email office@marlow-infant.bucks.sch.uk, and she will be happy to discuss the application process with you and provide you with an application form.
