Celebrating The King's Coronation At Marlow Infants
King's Coronation Celebrations - Friday 5th May 2023
The children have spent the day taking part in numerous creative activities with a Coronation theme. They made crowns, biscuits with the Union Jack, decorated red, white and blue portraits of the king, painted bunting and also designed castles on the computers.
Due to the wet weather, we unfortunately couldn't have our lunchtime 'Street Party' so we had the whole school in the hall, the children enjoyed rolls, fruit, carrot sticks, cake and orange squash with tables decorated in red white and blue and the hall was decorated with the bunting made by the children. Before we ate we all stood to sing the National Anthem, and we said grace. Thank you to the parents who came in to help set up the hall.
In the afternoon, we had school worship where the whole school sang a song all about the King's Coronation.
