The Year 1 children walked down to the Rookery Court park yesterday morning, and they managed to miss the rain showers. 

This visit was part of their science learning for this half-term, and the children had a great time hunting for leaves and identifying the trees that they had come from. They were also on the lookout for different types of birds. The children were able to talk about the different seasons and what happens to the trees in spring and summer.

On returning to school, the children did some rubbings of the leaves that they had collected during their walk.
