Creative Week
Creative Week: 15th - 19th July
Our Creative Week has been a celebration of the arts and during the week children have taken part in a variety of different workshops.
Reception learned a dance routine, painted an African sunset and were visited by Mrs R Smith, who ran an incredible silk painting workshop for every child to try. Year 1 were busy making music, salsa dancing, creating nature landscapes and were visited by Mrs Dorsett who ran an amazing script writing workshop. Year 2 enjoyed creating dances, songs, self-portraits and were visited by Mrs E Smith, who ran a drama workshop!
The school has been full of paint, collage, music and dance all week, and it has been lovely to see children's creative flairs on show. As a whole school, we have been contributing bit by bit to a large school mural that will be added to our hall next week. Each child added some recycled materials to a geometric rainbow piece that features our school curriculum vision: 'Ignite Learning, Inspire Curiosity'.
Thank you to all who brought recycling in and to the wonderful visitors who gave up their time to teach the children great art skills.
