Harvest Festival
Marlow Infants celebrate Harvest Festival on Thursday 3rd October
We were overwhelmed by the number of parents who came to our Harvest Festival yesterday. Both services were fully booked, where they were led by worship leaders from Year 2. The leaders stood up in front of a hall full of children, teachers, parents and grandparents and explained that Harvest Festival is a time to celebrate all the food we eat and be thankful to God for giving us everything we need.
They told us the story of Frank, a farmer in Malawi, who couldn't grow enough food to eat and the help he was given by Christian Aid.
At the end of the services, the worship leaders told us that they had felt nervous before they started but that they felt 'proud' and 'happy' after they had finished!
Year 1 sang 'At Harvest time', Reception sang 'The Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' and recited a poem and Year 2 sang 'Shoo wop do waddy waddy'.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our service of celebration and thanksgiving and for the donations you brought in for One Can Trust. Thank you to Miss Cubbage for taking the donations to One Can Trust for us. They will be very grateful for all the donations that will help to feed local families.
